The bones for a terrific story are here, unfortunately it fell a little short. I think the author intended us to follow Lucinda's footsteps on the path of discovery. Unfortunately, I got there before Luce and felt that for a supposedly smart girl, she was a little oblivious. Luce and Daniel's love is a tragic romance. How do I know that? Because the author, through Daniel, told Luce so. Not because I felt or saw it in any of their interactions. Overall there is great potential here, enough that I will probably give Tainted a try.
