Visions of Magic - Regan Hastings I was really impressed with Visions of Magic and the world building Hastings put into it. Magic has reemerged in a very public way, striking panic into ordinary humans. Witch hunts, internment camps and burnings are the all too plausible results as Hastings writes it. The characters are interesting also. Shea "Awakens" and her struggle to hide her powers ends. Instead, she must learn to use them as quickly as possible, search her surfacing memories of the first coven and overcome the temptation to seek power for its own sake. I was intrigued by the concept of Eternals, but I wanted a little more depth from Torin. Rune had less "screen time" and made more of an impression on me. I can't wait to read his story and will definitely continue reading this series.
