Whenever she see's something odd, Katie reminds herself she isn't in Texas anymore. New York City is home to all types and staring would only mark her as a hick. Then she finds out that some of those "fake" fairy wings and plastic pointed ears weren't fake at all. Katie is a normal girl. She's so normal and without magic that spells won't work on her, not even spells of concealment & illusion cast by the magic community to hide their existence. This makes Katie a valuable employment prospect to MSI, inc (Magic, Spells & Illusions, Inc) and she suddenly has a new job, new friends and a new crush. She just has to find a way to stop a competitor marketing harmful spells.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a light, fun read. The various characters at MSI were funny and interesting. I'll definitely be reading the next book in this series.
