Firewalker - Allyson James Janet's struggle to deal with the two very different sides of her heritage made this an interesting book. Her link to the dark beneath world is completely opposite her stormwalker roots and raises the conflict level in her life. Threatened by dragons and warned by Coyote to never use her mother's gifts, Janet keeps being thrust into untenable situations. Use the dark gifts and upset a number of powerful beings. Or let someone die, knowing she could have prevented it. The introduction of a character at toward the end of the book really has me looking forward to the next installment
