I'm a fan of Dee Henderson's books, but this book fell short of my expectations. The lady shooter case and the John Doe Killer case were both fascinating and the real draw in this book. Paul Falcon was a wonderful character and I enjoyed learning about his family. While I could understand his love for Ann, I personally didn't feel it. Throughout the course of the books, there was a distance I couldn't shorten that made it impossible to really connect to her. Which is a shame, because it made what could have been a 4 star book a 3 star one instead.
