Wonderful book. MacAlister managed to take a lot of "facts" and information we learned in the other two dragon series and turn it upside down. All entirely plausible and all with her trademark humor; at one point I was laughing so hard, I went into a coughing fit. After Me and My Shadow, I was a little down on Jim. But its appearances in this book were managed much better and I didn't feel as if I were about to OD on its crude comments. I cannot wait to see what's next for Ysolde/Tully and Baltic.
